We’re Saving Money on Our Hot Water

With a family of five, we use a lot of hot water. We all love to take nice hot showers, so it adds up pretty quick. I was complaining about my gas bill when a friend suggested I look into solar hot water. Using solar hot water, I could take advantage of the free heat the sun gives off. The heat from the sun would take care of most of my hot water needs. I would still keep my boiler as a back up system. That way during the winter, when there isn’t as much available sun light, I would still get all the hot water I needed. My friend said that since he started using solar energy to heat his water, his costs have cut in half. He recommended a company to do the installation. We had it installed last month, and I’m already noticing a difference in our bill!
