The Role of the Wedding Planner
January 26th, 2012Planning a wedding for someone is a huge responsibility. There are a lot of people counting on you, including the bride and groom. Most weddings are made of two main events, the rehearsal dinner and the wedding itself, with a reception afterwards.
The rehearsal dinner usually includes the members of the wedding party and possibly out-of-town guests, family and close friends. When planning the rehearsal dinner, the coordinator will need to consider where it will be held, what food will be served and how long it should last. While the bride and groom will have to approve the decisions, it is the wedding planner’s job to make sure the space is available, what the cost is, work within a budget and make sure the reservations are in place.
The wedding reception can be a simple affair, but is always very festive. There are lots of details, such as music, flowers, food, location, and photos that have to be agreed upon by the bride and groom. Because there are so many details to attend to in planning a wedding reception, the role of the wedding planner becomes very important. They are the ones that can take the stress off the bride, so that she can enjoy her beautiful day.
